Gallions Reach

Magnard Ensemble Gallions concert

By | Concert

Cavatina arranged for the Magnard Ensemble to come and join us for a 1 hour Chamber music concert. We chose an audience of Y5 Orchestra students and the children that have additional instrumental lessons. The children were treated to a wonderful classical pieces listening to instruments some had never heard before. They engaged with the ensemble as they performed different songs and talked about their instruments the flute, piccolo, oboe, clarinet and French Horn.

It was a great morning  showing once again not only the power of music but that the children at Gallions can enjoy and be enthralled by classical music.

A massive thank you to Tom and everyone at the Cavatina Trust who made this happen.

Junior Choir Perform at Gallions Reach

By | Concert

Once again the Gallions children were invited to sing at the Christmas lights switch on at Gallions Reach Retail park. Armed with songbooks gloves and Santa hats our junior choir took to the stage and delivered festive classics like Rudolph the red nose reindeer, jingle bells and Santa Claus is coming to town.

At the end of the performance the children were joined on stage by Santa who launched the final countdown to the Christmas lights switching on and a flurry of snow and more Christmas tunes for the children (and parents) to sing along too. It was a wonderful afternoon with the children delivering a brilliant performance.

The junior choir will be singing again at the Newham Community Lights switch on on Friday 7th December at 4:30 pm.
