We bring classical music free of charge to children who otherwise might not get the chance to access it.
Our work is focused on Beckton, East London, and gives primary-age children the chance to listen, learn and participate in music- making. We do this through:
- Funding individual instrumental lessons for talented children.
- Supporting orchestras for primary children.
- Bringing in professional musicians for inspirational workshops which inspire the children.
- Taking children to experience some of the wonderful professional music which London has to offer, including trips to theatre and opera for children who otherwise would not get these chances.
Music can benefit everyone physically, emotionally and socially, as well as improve academic performance. We ensure that children of any background have the same chances to make music.
